Any height or weight restrictions?
Both the Aerial Adventure Course and Adventure Zip Tours require guests be a minimum 48” tall and weigh between 50-250 pounds.
On the Aerial Adventure Course ONLY, all guests climb in groups of two or three—no one climbs alone. One guest in each group of two or three needs to be able to reach a height of seven feet, the height of our belay cables. This is usually a guest who is at least 5’1". One person (per group of two or three) needs to reach in order to move the clips from one cable to another.
$30 Add-On "Rent-A-Buddy" - We require all guests to climb with a buddy. If you’re solo or too short to reach the wires (usually guests under 5 ft tall), you can rent a staff member to climb with you. Also great for adults bringing kids who prefer not to climb.
How old do you need to be?
There is no requirement, though most guests are five years and older.
Is it safe?
Safety is our number one concern at Take Flight. Our staff is specially trained and daily equipment checks are performed before anyone is allowed on our course activities.
Every guest is first provided training (Pre-flight School) on how to safely navigate the courses.
Our staff are eager to assist you through any course challenges. Our number one goal is to ensure all participants have a safe (and fun) experience.
Take Flight was built by WingSpeed Adventures, a certified Professional Vendor Member of the Association for Challenge Course Technologies (ACCT).
Wait, I'm afraid of heights!
You're in good company. A fear of heights—like public speaking—is one of the most common phobias.
A ropes course is a great way to safely face and overcome your fear. Our friendly staff will work with you rise to the challenge!
How physically fit should I be?
There is no quantifiable level of fitness required to participate in the fun. Participants should be of reasonable health and possess no medical conditions that could pose harm to themselves or others in undertaking light to moderate levels of exercise. The course requires varying levels of strength, stamina, and agility. If you are unsure about your ability to participate, please consult your doctor prior to your visit.
What to wear?
For any of Take Flight's activities, closed toe and closed heel shoes ARE REQUIRED for participation in all our activities.
We recommend you wear comfortable clothing that you can wear outside for up to two hours. Athletic wear is encouraged but not required. Pants or shorts are acceptable as well as tank tops.
Do you require a waiver?
Yes. Every guest needs to read, understand, and have a completed waiver signed before participating. Guests who are under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian fill out the waiver before they can participate.
